Professors Dawn Bennett and Jane Coffey set out to better understand the causes and consequences of inequity in career education.
Students from disadvantaged groups experience higher rates of post-secondary attrition and deferral, and poorer graduate employment outcomes. The provision of careers and study information from the early years of secondary school is far from equal across Australia. The impacts of inequity in career education can be profound and are long-lasting. Professors Dawn Bennett and Jane Coffey set out to better understand the causes and consequences of inequity in career education and will present some of the key findings from their 'Ameliorating disadvantage' research project.
