Country Universities Centre Clarence Valley will be working with Early Stage 1 and Stage 1 classes across the Clarence Valley to explore their skills.
Through a reading of 'Who you were made to be' by Joanna Gaines, students will be guided through a self-exploration of their unique skills and how these fit into their future aspirations. The event will be designed and facilitated by the widening participation staff at CUC Clarence Valley an as addendum to their existing widening participation program, My Future CV. Each participation class group will receive a copy of the novel and accompanying resources.

Discover what The Smith Family has learnt about the barriers young people experiencing disadvantage face when pursuing education and employment pathways.
Anne Hampshire Head of Research and Advocacy will introduce The Smith Family's purpose and approach to breaking the cycle of disadvantage though transformative education and support programs. She will describe The Smith Family career support programs and share findings from their Pathways, Engagement & Transitions research —a six year longitudinal study following 6,000 young Australians as they move through school and into post-school work and further study.
